Last night the Empire State Building’s new LED lightshow was turned on for the first time. The light show was synchronized on the radio to Alicia Keys’ Girl is on Fire and Empire State of Mind.

Delta is offering Rangers fans a free 17-minute flight from LaGuardia to Newark for game 3 of the Devils/Rangers playoffs.
I’m sure taking this flight will take longer than NJTransit or the PATH.

Tomorrow, around 10:30am, NASA’s 747 Shuttle Carrier with the full scale prototype Space Shuttle Enterprise mounted on top will fly around New York and New Jersey at a low altitude before landing at JFK. Eventually it’ll be displayed at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

Such an amazing experience. I can see why this isn’t open to the public.The ledge is about 2 feet wide with a 2 foot high wall between you and nothing. This is where you would have entered the building if the crazy idea of docking dirigibles to the top of the tower was ever realized. Somehow I managed to walked out on the ledge and around the building without peeing in my pants.

War of words between NJ and NY’s Governors over MTV’s “Jersey Shore”
In an interview on Sunday, Christie called the MTV show “negative for New Jersey” claiming “it takes a bunch of New Yorkers… drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey.”
While Paterson didn’t necessarily defend Mike “The Situation, Snooki, JWoWW, Angelina, Ronnie and Vinny (all of whom hail from NY) he did offer up this. “Well maybe they are better when they’re in New York than there in New Jersey.”
