Paul may or may not be a viable presidential candidate, but the congressman is undeserving of the scorn he has received for trying to have a real discussion about geopolitical issues that affect every American.

Gov. Chris Christie arrived at his son’s baseball game this afternoon aboard a State Police helicopter. Christie disembarked from the helicopter and got into a black car with tinted windows that drove him about a 100 yards to the baseball field.During the 5th inning, Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie got into the car, rode back to the helicopter and left the game.
The helicopters, which can reach nearly 200 miles per hour with its twin turbo-shaft engines, are designed for homeland security duties and transporting critically injured patients.
Christie had no public schedule or events on Tuesday, though he was privately scheduled to meet at the governor’s mansion in Princeton with a group of Iowa donors who had flown in to urge him to run for president. Christie has become a hero in the eyes of Republicans across the country for cutting spending and vetoing a tax increase on the rich. Christie has used his veto pen more than 20 times to target wasteful spending at New Jersey government agencies.

Republican Christine O’Donnell challenged her Democratic rival to show where the Constitution requires separation of church and state.

The phrase “separation of church and state” is usually traced to President Thomas Jefferson. In a letter in 1802, he referred to the First Amendment and said that it built “a wall of separation between Church & State.”

So if Christine O’Donnell’s argument is that we shouldn’t interpret or amend the Constitution, then I guess that means that she shouldn’t be able to run for office since she’s female and that right didn’t come around until 1920.

"This maneuver threatens to leave taxpayers, rather than the oil companies, on the hook for future disasters like the BP oil spill. I urge the Senate Republicans to stop playing special interest politics and join in a bipartisan effort to protect taxpayers and demand accountability from the oil companies."

President Obama after Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) on Tuesday blocked a bill Democrats have put forward to raise the liability cap from $75 million to $10 billion.
